Weekly Classes and Groups
Spanish/English Baby/Toddler & Me Play Group (Multi-Age 0-3)
Bring your little one (ages 0-3 years of age) to this weekly playgroup and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the center, a play space for your infant/toddler and the joy of new relationships with other caregivers.

Drop in Breastfeeding Support Group
What is normal for a breastfeeding baby, mom, family? Bring your questions and get support through the early days of nursing, or just when questions arise. Infant scale available.

Toddler Time and Parent Education with Carol and Jaymie (Ages 18 - 33 months)
Observe and learn from your child’s play among peers and through dialogue with child development specialist Carol Castanon. Carol and Jaymie will role model support of attachment, autonomy, mastery and problem solving. Snack is provided.

Welcome Every Baby (Ages 0-8 months)
Join other parents as you discover and connect with your baby. This is a weekly group for you and your young baby to receive support, chat with other parents, and explore your role in this new relationship. We will focus on understanding your baby’s rhythm, pace, transitions, and needs and how he or she communicates them. Includes breastfeeding and bottle feeding support.
Guest speakers to our group include specialists in attachment and calming, infant massage, father attachment, and more.
On February 9th only, a CLOTH DIAPERING WORKSHOP will follow at 2:15!

First Five Parent Education and Drop-In Play Group
Join Carol Castanon and listen to First 5 Parent Education radio broadcasts over the Internet. Topics will include all areas of parenting and raising children 0-5. Discussion will follow.

Friday Drop-In Play Group
Free playtime and parent support, primarily for children 0-3. This parent participation group provides opportunities to observe and interact with children in a multi-age setting. We will focus on how children develop exploration and play skills and how adults can appropriately support their process. A simple snack will be provided.

Natural Mothering Group (Ages 0-3)
Natural Mothering Group is a peer-facilitated group of supportive mothers who meet at NTNC on a weekly basis to connect with other moms and moms-to-be. The group nurtures the idea that each mom, when given good support, instinctively and naturally knows what is right for her child.

Prenatal Breast Feeding Class: Off to a Good Start

Childbirth Preparation/Birthing From Within: Week-End Retreat
Take the time to discover what YOU need to know to give birth. Take time to retreat into your Birth Cave.

Parenting From Your Core:
Finding Yourself While Having Your Child
Pre-Natal
Based on an integrated trust in nature, ourselves and our babies-to-be, this group for expectant parents will explore the challenges of newborn parenting from the concepts within our beliefs and percep-tions. Through a deeper exploration of becoming parents we can establish family patterns of safe and secure attachment.

Sensory Integration Workshop with Judy Freeman
Judy Freeman is a well known occupational therapist who is associated with Easter Seals in Saticoy and has worked with many children in the Ojai Valley. All children and adults have a sensory profile which includes levels of comfort or discomfort with our five senses. Judy will look at the effects on behavior of sensory processing at home and in the classroom. This workshop is open to all families and providers.
